Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-06-25

윷놀이 (Yunnori) is operated by GreekerLabs, the data controller. This policy follows Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the Network Act (정보통신망법). If you are in the EU/UK or California, see Your choices & rights below for additional rights.

The short version

The Yunnori game is anonymous by default — you can play without giving us your name, email, or phone number. We never sell your data and we don't build advertising profiles about you. The one place we ask for an email is if you choose to sign up for launch updates on this website; that email is used only to tell you when the game is ready.

Launch updates (this website)

If you enter your email in the “notify me” box on our site, we store that email address (and the language you signed up in) so we can let you know when Yunnori launches and share occasional related news.

  • We use it only for launch and product news — never sold, never shared for anyone else's marketing.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us at the address below.
  • It's stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) and removed when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Accounts & sign-in (the game)

When you open the game you get an anonymous account automatically — no details required. You may optionally link Google or Apple sign-in to keep your progress across devices. If you do, that provider confirms your identity to us; with Apple you may share an email, which we use only to identify your account, not for marketing. We don't collect your real name, phone number, or address.

What the game collects

  • Anonymous usage analytics (games played, tutorial progress, crashes) via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
  • A small set of gameplay and growth events (for example a completed game or a shared invite) sent to our server with an anonymous app, device, and session identifier — not tied to your name or email.
  • Your coarse language setting (KO / EN) so we show the right language.
  • If you choose a display name, it is shown to other players in multiplayer rooms and on the leaderboard.
  • If you opt in to the leaderboard: your handle and turn count for the day. Nothing else.

The anonymous device identifier is created on your device. It is cleared if you clear the app's local data or reinstall the app.

What we don't collect

  • No real name, phone number, or postal address.
  • No contacts, photos, microphone, or location.
  • No cross-app tracking profile built by us.

Playing with others

In online rooms, the other players in your room can see your display name, your moves, the score, and any emoji reactions you send. Rooms are private and joined by a room code. We don't share your email or any contact details with other players.

Notifications

If you enable push notifications in the app, we store a device notification token to deliver them. There are three categories:

  • Service — operational alerts like “your streak day is ready” or “your mailbox gift expires tomorrow.”
  • Events — seasonal greetings (Seollal, Chuseok) and new-content announcements.
  • Promotional offers — product updates, discounts, and sponsor content. Opt-in only.

Promotional notifications follow Korea's Information & Communications Network Act (정보통신망법): we do not send promotional pushes between 22:00 and 08:00 your local time. Service and event notifications are exempt from this window. You can change or revoke any category at any time from Settings → Notifications inside the app.

Purchases

If you buy something, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your card details. We keep a record of the purchase receipt and what it unlocked so we can restore your purchases, handle refunds, and prevent fraud. Any paid content is cosmetic; there is no pay-to-win.

Ads

Yunnori may show occasional ads via Google AdMob. Ad behaviour depends on age:

  • Players under 14 are blocked from the game, so they see no ads.
  • Players aged 14–18 see only non-personalised ads.
  • On iOS, personalised advertising is shown only if you allow it through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this in iOS Settings at any time.

Children

Users under 14 are blocked from the game per Korean PIPA §22-2. We ask only for a birth year to check this — never a full birth date or name. A parental-consent path is planned but not yet available.

How long we keep things

We keep your game data (purchases, owned items, rewards, consent records, and multiplayer activity) for as long as your account exists, so the game works the way you expect. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data; activity left in shared rooms (such as past moves) is anonymised rather than deleted so the game record stays intact for the other players. Launch-update emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices & rights

  • Export — in the app, go to Settings → Data & Account to request a copy of your data.
  • Delete — in the app, go to Settings → Data & Account to clear your progress and request deletion of your account data.
  • Regional rights — if you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) you may access, correct, port, restrict, or object to processing; in California (CCPA/CPRA) you may know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” — we do not sell personal information. Email us to exercise any of these.
  • Unsubscribe — use the link in any launch-update email, or write to us.

Who helps us process data

We rely on Google Firebase (authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and hosting) and Google AdMob for ads. Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store and Google Play. If you choose to share an invite, that is handled by the app you share through (for example KakaoTalk). We do not sell your data to anyone.
